Our Mission

We, English Department, aspire to develop students’ English language proficiency, seeing it as a medium to advance their personal, intellectual and social development. To achieve this goal, we seek to develop a coherent English curriculum, provide many contexts and opportunities for English learning, adopt multiple strategies to cater for learner diversity and engage students in an assessment process which can promote self-directed learning. 
Amid the challenges of the rapidly changing world and the keenly competitive knowledge-based society of Hong Kong in the 21st century, we would continue to embrace opportunities brought by information technology, integrate language learning with content learning thoroughly and instill students with positive values and attitude through English learning. Ultimately, we hope our students become independent lifelong learners, creative thinkers and problem solvers who can communicate effectively in English.
